The black and yellow broad bull is a wonderful bird. Lots of amazing things that are given to these little boys as gifts that make them stand out in the world of birds.
The aqua beak goes with a black head and bright yellow eyes are the first thing that catches a person’s attention. They make these birds very cute.
Their peach-pink underparts and black and yellow feathers are also striking details. This plumage is very unique, right? I never thought black, yellow, and pink could be so harmoniously combined.
And, humans can’t keep their eyes off these cute little birds.
An interesting fact is that the lovely little black and yellow Broad Bulls have been dubbed “disproportionately loud”. There seems to be a big contradiction with their appearance, right?
This cute creature produces a series of loud coos that increase in pitch and speed and turn into a crazy series of loud whistles.
Black and yellow broadbills are distributed in Southeast Asia. They live in the mountains and lowlands of Thailand, Indonesia, and other countries in the region.
During the breeding season, these birds use moss and leaf skeletons, roots, and leaves to build their nests. These nests are on tree limbs and look humorous like pears and purses.
Currently, these small Broadbills are listed on the IUCN Red List as ‘Near Threat’. The main reason is the loss of their habitat.
