In 2012, Chinese millionaire Wang Yan set up a rescue shelter in Changchun.
He was motivated to do so when he sadly lost his beloved dog that same year, probably in a slaughterhouse.
Since then, he has spent almost every penny in his name at the Dog Center.
Wang, 29, has spent millions of dollars rescuing more than 2,000 stray dogs from the slaughterhouse, according to People’s Daily Online.
In the middle of Wang is a statue of a dog he prays for.
Currently, the center has more than 200 dogs of many breeds being cared for.
Wang’s generosity has given him a chance at a new life.

Wang made millions in the Chinese steel industry about 14 years ago.
All he has earned is going to the center, food for the dogs and medical care for them.
After losing his dog, Wang told reporters:
“I searched everywhere, but to no avail. Eventually, someone let me go to the altar to try my luck there. “
We need more people like Wang in this world!
